PROJECT DESCRIPTION Along the Cedar Avenue Corridor, MVTA will need plans, designs and construction of 1) north and southbound transit stops near 140th Street and near 147th Street with passenger skyways and 2) a park & ride lot on the west side of Cedar near 140th Street. Proposals will be released on April 14, 2008 and will be posted on the MVTA web-site at www.mvta.com. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. local time on May 12, 2008. RFP administrator is Lois Spear, Finance Officer for the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, 100 E. Highway 13, Burnsville, MN 55337. E-mail: lspear@mvta.com. There will be a pre-proposal conference at 2 p.m. on April 21, 2008 at the Eagan Bus Garage, 3600 Blackhawk Road, Eagan, MN. The project is currently proposed to be funded in part with monies provided from the Urban Partnership Agreement federal grant administered by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Minnesota State Bond Funds. All design shall be completed consistent with applicable FTA and State regulations. Construction of the parking and platforms must be complete and operational by September 2009. Those wishing to be kept apprised should addenda be issued, are asked to complete the information request form and note your request for any 140th &147th St.RFP addenda that are issued.
