Bus Rapid Transit
Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is a new form of public transportation that uses public roads, right-of-way and transit advantages to provide dependable, high-speed bus service regardless of weather or traffic conditions.  BRT will begin operation along the Cedar Avenue and I-35W corridors in late 2009, as part of the region's Urban Partnership Agreement:  Innovative Choices for Congestion Relief.  Station-to-station service will begin operating after roadway improvements are completed on Cedar Avenue, likely in 2011 or 2012.
