| The MVTA operates park & ride lots throughout its five member cities. Passengers may park their cars free of charge and board a bus, carpool or vanpool. Some lots also feature free bicycle racks and/or bicycle lockers available for a nominal monthly rental charge.
MVTA's largest facility is the Burnsville Transit Station, which has 1300 parking spaces, making it the largest park & ride in the metro area. The station also features indoor climate-controlled waiting, pay phones, restrooms, drinking fountains, vending machines, bus pass sales, newspaper sales and transit information.
The Apple Valley Transit Station opened in December 1998. This station features 337 parking spaces, plus additional parking shared with the adjacent Carmike Cinema, indoor climate-controlled waiting, restrooms, drinking fountains, vending machines, public telephones, and transit information. In late 2007, the former Watson's site was procured for an expanded Apple Valley Transit Station to be open in late 2009.
The Eagan Transit Station features parking deck, with some 750 parking spaces for bus passengers and retail patrons. The site includes retail partners Cole's Salon, LeeAnn Chin, Starbucks, Bruegger's Bagels, The Tobacco Outlet and The Mobile Phone Company. The indoor/outdoor waiting area also includes bus schedules, a restroom, and a soda machine.
