Project Description A park & ride facility is proposed at the above stated location in the City of Apple Valley, Minnesota. This station is located in the Cedar Avenue Bus Rapid Transitway Corridor. The site was acquired for transportation purposes and will serve riders traveling to downtown Minneapolis, the Mall of America and other on-line stops in the Cedar Corridor.

Proposals will be released on April 11, 2008 and will be posted on the MVTA web-site at www.mvta.com. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. local time on May 5, 2008. RFP administrator is Lois Spear, Finance Officer for the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, 100 E. Highway 13, Burnsville, MN 55337. E-mail: lspear@mvta.com. There will be a pre-proposal conference at 2 p.m. on April 21, 2008 at the Eagan Bus Garage, 3600 Blackhawk Road, Eagan, MN.

The project is currently proposed to be funded in part with monies provided from the Urban Partnership Agreement federal grant administered by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Minnesota State Bond Funds. All design shall be completed consistent with applicable FTA and State regulations. Construction of the parking and platforms must be complete and operational by September 2009.
