NEW - MVTA Sells/Replenishes GO-TO Cards at BTS
3/7/2008 1:00 AM
The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority is encouraging use of the new GO-TO card as the preferred convenience fare tool.  The card is more reliable, and is easily refilled at the Burnsville Transit Station, Metro Transit Stores, on rail platforms, and via the internet at the Metro Transit web-site.  However, because of the number of employers still issuing Stored-Value Cards, the MVTA will continue to offer rail transfers into 2008.  (Previously, the MVTA announced it would no longer issue the 12-hour rail transfers after Dec. 31, 2007.)  The MVTA no longer sells Stored-Value cards at the Burnsville Transit Station, but can sell and replenish Go-To cards.  Stored-Value cards and 31-Day Passes will continue to be available for sale at local Cub Foods and Rainbow grocery store customer service centers.
