METRO Blue work will affect Route 440 stops near VA Hospital

Construction work on the METRO Blue Line will affect Route 440 near the VA Hospital on Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24. (The METRO Blue Line will be out of service from 10 p.m. Monday, September 22, through Saturday, October 4.)
On Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24, Route 440 North and Route 440 South will operate on a detour. During this time, buses will not serve the following stops:
- Veterans Drive / VA Station Northbound
- Veterans Drive / VA Station Southbound
Riders are directed to use the VA Medical Center at Visitors Entrance stop on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The detour is necessary to accommodate construction in the area and will be in effect for the full two-day period. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use the nearby alternate stops.
