Trip adjustments being made during State Fair  

To accommodate increased ridership during the Minnesota State Fair, one trip is being cut through September 4 on Route 460, Route 465, Route 477, Route 480, and Route 490. The trips being cut are listed below along with alternate trip options during the fair.

Route 460  

Monday–Thursday (through September 3)

• The 4:15 p.m. Route 460 southbound trip will not operate.

Alternate Trips:

Please use one of these Route 460 trips instead:

• 4:07 p.m. southbound
• 4:23 p.m. southbound

Route 465  

Monday–Friday (through September 4)

• The 4:55 p.m. Route 465 southbound trip will not operate.

Alternate Trips:

Please use one of these Route 465 trips instead:

• 4:35 p.m. southbound
• 5:35 p.m. southbound

Route 477  

Monday–Thursday (through September 3)

• The 3:27 p.m. Route 477 southbound trip will not operate.

Alternate Trips:

Please use one of these Route 477 trips instead:

• 3:16 p.m. southbound
• 3:37 p.m. southbound

Route 480A  

Monday–Thursday (through September 3)

• The 3:45 p.m. Route 480 southbound trip will not operate.

Alternate Trips:

Please use this Route 480 trip instead:

• 4:04 p.m. southbound

Route 490M  

Monday–Friday (through September 4)

• The 4:15 p.m. Route 490 southbound trip will not operate.

Alternate Trips:

Please use these Route 490 trips instead to get to Marschall Road Transit:

• 3:43 p.m. southbound
• 5:09 p.m. southbound

Bus types during the fair

To help accommodate the increased demand during the fair, MVTA will temporarily shift larger MCI coaches to State Fair Express service from Aug. 27 through Sept. 7.

As a result, some trips on Routes 460, 465, 470, 475, 477, 480 and 490 will operate with 40-foot buses.

These temporary changes help us make the most of our fleet during one of the busiest travel periods of the year. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding!
