KL2 Connects Seeks Executive Director for MVTA

KL2 Connects LLC has been retained by The Minnesota Valley Transportation Authority (MVTA) to recruit an Executive Director who will lead an organization of approximately 130 buses with a $28 million operating budget, moving nearly three million riders each year.  The MVTA is a joint powers agency that provides transit services within the cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Rosemount, Prior Lake, Savage, and Shakopee and commute services to/from downtown Minneapolis/St. Paul.  MVTA contracts with a local transit operations/maintenance service provider (non-union) to provide both the local and commute service including operations of the Metro Transit Red Line BRT service.  The nine-member Board of Directors is made up of elected officials appointed to the Board from the member cities and their two counties and the MVTA has a direct staff of 14 employees who oversee contract operations, transit facility development and operation, marketing, finance, grants, and governmental relations.
