Medical workers, caregivers can ride free on MVTA Connect

Service available in Savage and western Burnsville

To assist medical workers and caregivers at senior facilities, MVTA is offering free rides on MVTA Connect during the current health crisis.

MVTA Connect is a ride-on-demand service with a service area in Savage and western Burnsville, including Fairview Ridges Hospital.

Rides on MVTA Connect are booked by using an app called TransLoc or online at ondemand.transloc.com.

The free TransLoc App is available through Google Play or the App Store.

To book a ride on MVTA Connect, open the TransLoc app and choose the MVTA Connect service by tapping “Book a Ride.” Confirm your pick-up location, select your drop-off location, then choose your pick-up time. In the app, medical workers and caregivers should select “pay as you board” and then show medical credential or proof of employment at a care facility to receive a free ride when boarding.
