Temporary loading location planned at Savage Park and Ride

Beginning Saturday, Oct. 14, riders will be directed to a temporary loading location at the Savage Park and Ride to accommodate improvements planned for the site at 14121 Huntington Avenue, Savage.
Sidewalk replacement is scheduled to start Oct. 14. A concrete sidewalk will be installed. That work is expected to take one week.
A new shelter will be constructed at the east end of the bus boarding area. There will be a period of time -- possibly up to three weeks -- that there will not be a shelter available at the site. This is to allow time for concrete to cure and for construction of the new shelter.
Additional road repairs are anticipated to start in mid-October, after concrete work is completed. This also will require relocation of the customer boarding area. More details will be forthcoming.
As always with this type of work, it is weather dependent.
ADA loading will occur at the entrance to the Park and Ride parking lot.
MVTA appreciates customer patience while improvements are being made to the Savage Park and Ride.
