Select 460 Trips to Serve Heart of the City P&R Effective July 2

For Routes: 444, 460, 464, 465

Beginning Monday, July 2nd, select Route 460 trips will serve Heart of the City P&R (HOC). 

Northbound 460 trips will begin at HOC, continue to Burnsville Transit Station, then head north to Minneapolis. Northbound trips depart HOC at the following times:

5:25, 6:08, 6:22, 6:30, 6:37, 6:48, 6:51, 6:55, 6:59, 7:02 and 7:08 am.

The following southbound trips (departure times from Gateway Ramp) will serve Burnsville Transit Station, then continue south on Nicollet to serve HOC:

4:19, 4:23, 4:28, 4:38, 4:44, 4:50, 4:57, 5:13, 5:21, 5:28, 5:33, 5:44, and 5:56 pm

Southbound buses in Minneapolis will display "460H" on their electronic headers to indicate they serve Heart of the City. 

Drop-off and pick-up locations along 2nd Avenue and along Marquette Avenue in Minneapolis are the same for Route 460 as they are for Route 464.

Service via Route 464 remains the same.

New Service Between Eagan & Blue Line Train Begins July 2!

For Routes: 436, 437, 445, 446, 470, 472, 475

Beginning July 2, New Route 416 will offer non-stop service between Eagan Transit Station and the Blue Line Train. 

The new service, which will operate on weekdays, will provide 20 northbound and 20 southbound trips each day.

35W Ramp Closures Begin June 8 - EXPECT DELAYS.

For Routes: 460, 464, 465, 470, 472, 475, 476, 477, 478, 479, 491, 492

Beginning the evening of June 8, the ramps in/out of Downtown Minneapolis via 35W will be closed. Details can be found here.

MVTA buses will detoured using 31st Street and Park/Portland. MVTA bus stops in Downtown will remain the same. The Lake Street stop will be closed.

Major delays are expected, and MVTA's detours will utilize transit advantages to make your commute as efficient as possible. 

MVTA Express Routes will continue to operate based on their regularly-scheduled departure times. However, travel times will increase and we strongly urge riders to plan accordingly. 

Lake Street will not be served during this construction project. Riders who currently use Lake Street as a transfer point will need to use alternative routing to reach their destinations. Alternative transfer points may include Downtown Minneapolis, Mall of America, or South Bloomington Transit Center. Please visit our Lake Street page for more information.

Riders wishing to avoid the 35W Corridor may take advantage of local routes that connect to the Blue Line Train. The following routes offer connections to the Blue Line:

McAndrews Construction May 31- Sept 2018

For Route: 478

The reconstruction of McAndrews Road between Pilot Knob Road and Hwy 3 will begin on 5/31 and is scheduled to end September of 2018. Pick-ups and drop-offs are not permitted along the detour route.

Buses will Detour as follows:

 

478 Northbound:

Regular on Highway 3, left on Connemara Trail west, right on Diamond Path Road, right on Pilot Knob Road, left on McAndrews Road and back to regular. 

 478 Southbound:

Regular on McAndrews Road, right on Diamond Path Road, left Connemara Trail West, right on Highway 3 and back to regular.

Vernon Ave Closure through August

For Route: 421

Vernon Ave is undergoing reconstruction between County Road 42 and McColl Drive and will be closed through August. 

Detour as follows:

 

Bus will travel regular on County Road 42 then continue past Vernon to Dakota Avenue, right on Dakota Avenue, right on McColl Drive and then back to regular
