Accessibility

In accordance with the ADA, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority does not discriminate based on disability in its programs, services, activities, and employment practices.

A Title VI ADA grievance procedure is established to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA provides comprehensive civil rights protections to persons with disabilities in the areas of employment, state and local government services, access to public accommodations, transportation, and telecommunications. Title VI covers state and local government and any of its departments, agencies, or other instrumentalities.

The ADA mandates that individuals with disabilities shall not be excluded from participation in, denied the benefit of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity.

This Title VI ADA grievance procedure can be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by Minnesota Valley Transit Authority.

MVTA will make reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all its programs, services, and activities.
