1. Contact MVTA Customer Service – 952-882-7500.
2. Provide your name, email account, and phone number.
3. Provide any suspension notifications.
4. Explain why the suspension was a mistake.
5. MVTA Customer Service will start the investigation into your account suspension and provide that information to the MVTA Transportation team for the full investigation.
6. This investigation may take up to two business days. Within that time MVTA Transportation team will provide the results of the investigation to the MVTA Customer Service team to relay it to the rider.
7. At this time, your account may remain suspended for the duration of the suspension, have the suspension repealed, or further information may be required from the rider.
For example, if a rider is suspended for a week due to several reported fare evasions, and the rider is sure they paid the fare, MVTA may request proof of purchase of Connect tickets. If proof of payment is provided, the suspension will be lifted.

Tips for a Successful Ride

  • All trips using the app require a booking within 3 hours of your desired departure.
  • If you need an ADA-accessible vehicle, be sure to request it when booking so that an appropriate vehicle can be assigned.
  • Be ready. Vehicles depart briefly after arriving at the pick-up point.
  • Need to cancel a trip? Be sure to do so before the vehicle arrives via the app to avoid payment. Once vehicles arrive, trips will not be refunded. Failure to be present at the pickup location at your bus arrival time will result in a ‘no-show cancellation’. If an account has too many ‘no-show cancellations’, a rider may be subject to suspension from MVTA Connect services.
  • During your ride, the MVTA driver may stop and pick up or drop off other riders. All rides provide curb-to-curb service.
  • Customers who use Connect may request a free same-day transfer that can be used on any MVTA fixed-route bus. The transfer tickets will not be valid for future trips on Connect.
