The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) Winter 2025 Service Change takes effect Monday, December 8, bringing exciting updates for riders — including the return of weekend service to Buck Hill and several schedule adjustments to improve reliability across the system.

Highlights of the Winter 2025 Service Change
Buck Hill service is back for its second year! Weekend trips will operate hourly from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through mid-March 2026.
Riders can catch the Buck Hill bus from Burnsville Transit Station, Heart of the City Station (with timed Orange Line connections), or Burnsville Center. Routing improvements will help shorten travel times. The Buck Hill stop is located on Buck Hill Road before the parking lot entrance.

To meet growing demand, additional Route 477 trips will be added:
MVTA is adjusting schedules to improve reliability and better match traffic conditions.
To expand access in Shakopee, MVTA is adding three new stops:
A new timepoint has also been added at St. Francis Hospital. Buses will not depart early from this location.
