Adopt-a-Station

MVTA’s Adopt-a-Station program invites community organizations to make a lasting impact by helping to care for the transit stations and park & ride facilities that serve thousands of riders each year. Community partners can choose to adopt a location and keep it clean and ready to move people to work, school, healthcare, recreation, and more!

Community service is most meaningful when its impact can be seen. Through the Adopt-a-Station program, volunteers leave a lasting mark on the places many people use. From improving the appearance of public spaces to identifying opportunities for future enhancements, every visit helps create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming transit system while demonstrating pride in the communities we share.

Expectations for volunteers include:

• Visit the adopted station or park & ride at least three times per year

• During your visits, remove any litter and small debris from the property

• Identify and report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to MVTA

• Share ideas and feedback to help improve the facility and customer experience

For participating, organizations will receive:

• Recognition signage displayed at your adopted station or park & ride

• Recognition on the station information page at mvta.com

• Verification of volunteer service hours (if requested)

• Opportunities to be featured in MVTA news, social media, and community communications
