SPRING SERVICE CHANGES EFFECTIVE MARCH 16
The Spring 2026 service change brings a series of routing and schedule updates designed to better match service with how people are traveling today across the south metro. Weekend service on 497 and 499 will be replaced by MVTA Connect and significant routing changes will take place on routes 440, 442, 475, and 499. Routes 4FUN and 495 will also be combined into one service. Other, more minor changes will occur on routes Orange LINK, 444, 445, 446, 447, and 490. Finally, Buck Hill service will conclude.

Shakopee Service Changes
Weekend Service
Service on routes 497 and 499 will be replaced with MVTA Connect service on weekends in Shakopee and Prior Lake. MVTA Connect is an on-demand service that allows people to book a trip to and from any location within a zone through the RideMVTA App. More information is available on the MVTA Connect page.
Fixed route service to the Canterbury Park area, Marschall Road Transit Station, and Mystic Lake Casino will be available via alterations to the enhanced 4FUN route.
4FUN/ Route 495 Combination
The 4FUN Route will add destinations previously served by Route 495. Trips will operate hourly between 3:30 AM and 11:30 PM. Mystic Lake Casino trips will be served by Westbound trips in the AM and Eastbound trips in the PM. Trip times will be the same on weekdays and weekends and fares will be $2 (local fare cost). Service to Valleyfair will begin when the park opens for the year in May. 4FUN also will expand service to downtown Savage all day long. Visit the routes page for more information.
Route 499 Routing Changes, Route 497/499 Timing Changes
Route 499 will be altered to streamline service between Marschall Road Transit Station and destinations in East Shakopee. Stops along Vierling Dr, near Canterbury Park, in the Valley Industrial Park, and at Mystic Lake Casino will be removed. Service to Canterbury Park and Mystic Lake Casino will be replaced by service on an updated 4FUN/495 route (see below). New stops will be provided at St. Francis Hospital, 17th Ave, and Eagle Creek Park & Ride. Service will continue to be provided to Shakopee High School on “H” pattern trips.

Route 490
A stop at Eagle Creek Park & Ride will be added on Route 490, providing riders in Shakopee with an additional Park & Ride option for daily service. Connections to the regional network will be available at Eagle Creek Park & Ride via Route 499. Northbound trip start times will be moved to be up to 10 minutes earlier, impacting riders from Downtown Prior Lake. Visit the routes page for more information.
Routing and Service Changes Near Cedar Avenue Corridor
Route 440
A significant change on Route 440 will streamline routing and improve trip speed, replacing stops and routing on Pennock Ave, 147th St, 140th St, and Johnny Cake Ridge Rd with service on Galaxie Ave. Current riders that use stops on Pennock Ave may use route 442 for alternative options (see below). All trips will be extended to Mall of America and service will operate hourly between 6 AM and 10 PM on weekdays, with additional service to the VA during rush hour. Weekend service will also be added hourly between 8 AM and 8 PM. Visit the routes page for more information.
Route 442
Service on Route 442 between Apple Valley Transit Station and Mall of America will be discontinued. Alternative service is available via Route 440 and METRO Red Line. Stops on Garden View Dr and Whitney Dr will also be removed, and Route 442 will serve stops on Pennock Ave. Trip times will also be adjusted, with hourly service on weekdays between 6 AM and 8 PM and weekend service between 8 AM and 8 PM. Eastbound trips will end at Apple Valley Transit Station Southbound station and Westbound trips will begin at Apple Valley Northbound station. Visit the routes page for more information.
Route 475
Service to the Minnesota Zoo stop on midday 475 trips will no longer be provided. Southbound trips after 7 PM will be adjusted to have stops in Downtown Minneapolis to provide late night options to workers and residents. Trip times will also be adjusted in both directions. Improved Service to Eagan Central Park
Route 445
Route 445 will be adjusted to provide more accessible stop locations to Eagan’s Central Park to better serve events and activities at the park. Stops will be added at Central Pkwy and Towerview Rd (#30125, #30124) and at Central Pkwy and Pilot Knob Rd (#30123, #30126). Stops at Yankee Doodle Rd and Washington Dr (#30625, #30563) and at Yankee Doodle Rd and Central Pkwy (#30564) will be removed. Timing changes will occur on route 445 as a part of this change. Buck Hill Service Concludes
Buck Hill route service will conclude on March 15, 2026.
Other Changes
Timing Changes – Route 446
Minor stop time changes will impact some stops on Southbound Route 446 trips. In addition, the 8:14 AM Southbound trip on weekdays will be moved to 8:12 AM.
Stop Removals – Routes Orange LINK, 442, 444, 447
Multiple stops will be removed on Burnhaven Drive due to operational concerns near Burnsville Center.
