Fall 2026 Service Changes

FALL 2026 CHANGES – EFFECTIVE AUGUST 10, 2026
Overview
The Fall 2026 service change, effective August 10, is highlighted by the merging of Route 490 and Route 493, providing additional trip times to some stations in Scott County. Route 445 will be extended to Inver Hills College on weekdays, and Orange LINK will provide new service to Burnsville High School. UMN routes 465 and 475 will have service added on September 8 for the new school year. Other changes will take place on routes 420, 440, 442, 444, 446, 447, 477, and 495.

ROUTE 420
The following trips will be suspended due to low ridership:
• 7:37 PM Westbound
• 8:37 PM Westbound
Route 440
Northbound routing will be changed near the Mall of America to provide earlier arrival times at Mall of America Station. The following stops will no longer be served by MVTA routes:
- Lindau Ln at 26th Ave SW Corner (#41259)
- 82 St at Winstead Way NW Corner (#52007)
Route 442
The stop location at Burnsville Center will be moved to the Northwest side of the mall near entrance 1. Stop #31389 will no longer be served, to be replaced by Stop #30133.
Burnhaven Dr at 143rd St NW Corner (#31831) will be removed. Riders may use Burnhaven Dr at Burnsville Library and License Center (#31927).
Route 444
The stop location at Burnsville Center will be moved to the northwest side of the mall near entrance 1. Stop #31389 will no longer be served, to be replaced by Stop #30133.
Burnhaven Dr at 143rd St NW Corner (#31831) will be removed. Riders may use Burnhaven Dr at Burnsville Library and License Center (#31927).
Northbound routing will be changed near the Mall of America to provide earlier arrival times at Mall of America Station. The following stops will no longer be served by MVTA routes:

Route 445
Weekday trips will be extended to Inver Hills College to provide additional access to educational destinations. Regional connections can be made here to Metro Transit routes 68 and 71. Weekday times will change throughout the route.
Argenta Tr at Opperman Dr SW Corner (#30134) will replace the Opperman Dr at Eagan YMCA S Corner (#30917) stop.
Route 446
Trip times will change by up to 5 minutes on weekdays to maintain connections with Route 445 at Eagan Transit Station.
Route 447
The stop location at Burnsville Center will be moved to the northwest side of the mall near entrance 1. Stop #31389 will no longer be served, to be replaced by Stop #30133.
Route 465
On September 8, service will be added for the start of the UMN school year. The following trips will be added:

Route 475
On September 8, service will be added for the start of the UMN school year. The following trips will be added:
Southbound:
- 2:43 PM
- 3:43 PM
- 5:43 PM (Mon – Thurs Only)
- 9:13 PM (Mon – Thurs Only)
Route 477
A Southbound L Pattern trip will be added at 3:47 PM on Monday – Thursday. The following trip times will be changed:
- 3:40 PM -> 3:37 PM
- 3:55 PM -> 3:57 PM
Route 490
Route 490 and Route 493 will be combined into one route (Route 490). All trips will serve Southbridge Crossings Park & Ride, Downtown Minneapolis, and the University of Minnesota. “P” Pattern trips will also serve Eagle Creek Park & Ride and Downtown Prior Lake, and “M” Pattern trips will also serve Marschall Road Transit Station.
Route 493
Route 490 and Route 493 will be combined into one route (Route 490). All trips will serve Southbridge Crossings Park & Ride, Downtown Minneapolis, and the University of Minnesota. “P” Pattern trips will also serve Eagle Creek Park & Ride and Downtown Prior Lake, and “M” Pattern trips will also serve Marschall Road Transit Station.
Route 495
On the west end of Route 495, all trips will change to start or end at Mystic Lake Casino. Timing changes will take place at Mystic Lake Casino and Marschall Road Transit Station stops.
Orange LINK
New service will be provided to Burnsville High School on all trips. A new stop (#30132) will be added on Riverwood Drive near the school tennis courts. Associated timing changes will take place.
