State Fair Know Before You Go
Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) is excited to provide direct bus service to the 2026 Minnesota State Fair!

All MVTA Park & Rides run all 12 days of the fair!
August 27 – September 6
To the Fair: 7 am – 7 pm
From the Fair: Noon – 11:30 pm
Frequency: Every 15-20 Min
Labor Day – Monday, September 7
To the Fair: 7 am – 4 pm
From the Fair: Noon – 8:30 pm
Frequency: Every 15-20 Min
park & ride overflow
Park & Ride lots may reach capacity during busy times. Check the links below for real-time updates to see if your planned Park & Ride is full, which location you should use instead, and when parking spaces become available again.
Buses will continue to serve Park & Ride locations that have reached parking capacity. Customers who can get to the location without parking a vehicle can still board the bus to the State Fair.
Purchasing a Bus Fare
- All MVTA State Fair bus fares are $6 round-trip
- RideMVTA App (Recommended):
- Follow the instructions and activate your pass only when ready to board the bus.
- Show your digital pass to the driver when boarding the bus
- Cash
- Riders must have exact cash. Drivers can’t make change.
- Credit or Debit
- Visit a staff member on-site to purchase a pass with credit or debit.
- Free Riders
- Children (0-5)
- Disabled veterans ride free by showing a “Service Connected” ID.
OVERFLOW INFORMATION
Overflow parking is available only when the Park & Ride reaches capacity.
- Eagan Transit Station overflow parking: Burnsville Transit Station
- Blackhawk Park and Ride overflow: Burnsville Transit Station
- Burnsville Transit Station overflow: Heart of the City Public Parking
- Southbridge Crossings Park and Ride: Burnsville Transit Station
