MVTA set a new ridership record for its Renaissance Festival service in 2026, providing 54,043 rides over seven festival weekends. The total represents a 4 percent increase over the previous record set in 2025 and underscores the growing role of transit in connecting people to major regional events.
MVTA provided service throughout the festival season, which ran from Aug. 22 through Oct. 4. The agency works with Scott County and Renaissance Festival representatives to coordinate service and provide festivalgoers with a convenient alternative to driving and parking near the event.
