MVTA is currently taking feedback for proposed Shakopee service changes till October 15.
Proposed changes are replacing Route 497 and Route 499 in Shakopee in December 2026 with a new Route 429 (with an A and B pattern) to serve local trips. Route 429 would operate hourly in one direction on weekdays, with select trips in the opposite direction during peak times.

The MVTA Field Trip Pass gives school groups an easy and affordable way to travel together using MVTA’s existing fixed-route bus service for a designated day. MVTA staff work with teachers, chaperones, and school administrators to help plan bus stops, routes, and travel times for a smooth and convenient trip.
